The DIN 1.0/2.3 connector is a 75 Ohm miniature push pull crimp connector and is available for a range of Serial Digital Video cables, enabling speedy connection and an extremely high packing density in racks (2-3 times more than conventional BNC's).
The connectors are being used increasingly on video routers, such as Miranda Nvision equipment, and very high density video patch panels such as the Switchcraft Micro Self-Normalling 48 way video patchpanel shown in section 1.
As well as straight crimp plugs for all the popular sizes of digital video cable, we also offer a right angle crimp plug (requires soldering of the centre conductor) to fit BD SD01, 1855ENH and equivalemt cables.
SDI signals are supported up to 3Gbs (1080p) for all connectors including the right angle version.
A suitable crimp tool is our part number BC 36. Alternatively you can use an AFM8 indent tool on setting 5 for the pin and a 5.41mm hex for the crimp sleeve.
Please Note: For people with big fingers, we can make up transition cables from DIN to BNC.
Each box of 100 DIN 1855CP will be supplied with a DIN ALIGN pin alignment tool. If you buy less than 100, then you will need to order the DIN ALIGN separately. The alignment device is not required for the other size DIN connectors.
