 These 'high frequency' script lights have an adjustable shutter system to allow a narrow curtain of light to be directed at the work surface. The units are provided with an integral high frequency electronic ballast and have Daylight Deluxe 6000°K tubes. The script lights are available in three sizes to accommodate 600mm, 900mm and 1200mm tubes. They are finished in Black eggshell stove enamel paint. Spare tubes are also available. High Frequency ballasts improve the efficiency of fluorescent lamps by making the AC period shorter than the relaxation time to deionise mercury atoms in the discharge column, thus the discharge stays closer to it's optimum operating condition. Other benefits are near instant starting and reduced visual interference effect on computer monitors. Fixing of units is via two keyway slots which accommodate M6 screws. All units are for 220/240 Volt 50Hz operation. |
